flouride (PVDF2) Kynar-500®
based coating system used in our standard ultra low gloss colors. Flouroceram coatings exhibit exceptional color stability, chalk
resistance, durability, abrasion resistance, resistance to most chemicals and solvents,
and flexibility.
Composition
Flouroceram coatings contain a minimum 70% Kynar-500 flouropolymer resin.
Substrates
G-90 Hot-dipped galvanized steel, Galvalume®, or
Zincalume® coated steel.
Gloss
Standard Low Gloss colors have a specular gloss of 15 ±4 @ 85E per ASTM D-523.
Film Thickness
Flouroceram coatings are typically applied at a dry film thickness of 1.0 mils. The primer
is applied at .2 mils and the Flouroceram top coat is applied at a nominal 0.8-0.9 mils.
Warranties

Real Copper
Snap-Lock is available in real copper. It shall
have a minimum copper content of 99.99% copper, silver counting as copper. It is
cold rolled from ingots of 110 alloy copper. It meets or exceeds the ASTM B 370
specifications with a temper range of a minimum tensile strength of 46 KSI. It is
available in most widths.
The natural mill finish of our copper has a warm, attractive, natural
appearance, and the beautiful effects resulting from time and weathering are usually left
untreated. Copper standing seam roofing is one of the oldest types of roofing, and
has provided centuries of virtually maintenance free service.
Metallic Paint Finishes
Metallic paint finishes are formulated with a
premium Kynar-500 coating system. Metallic finishes exhibit exceptional color
stability, chalk resistance, durability, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and
flexibility. Premium metallic finishes include Pewter Metallic and Classic Copper
Metallic. Custom finishes include Copper Penny, Bronze, Jade, Antique Patina, Gold,
Azure, and Silver.
Substrates
The base steel of Snap-Lock and Perma-Lock
Standing Seam metal roofing conforms to ASTM A-792 Grade D, minimum yield 40 KSI, 52 KSI
Tensile Strength, standard thickness is 24 and 26 gauge. 22 gauge base steel is
available special order. Contact Summit Pacific Metal Sales for pricing, details,
and minimum requirements. The protective coating is Zincalume AZ50 conforming to
ASTM A-792, Galvalume, or G-90 hot-dipped galvanized finish.
